Jared Wheatley is a Citizen of the Cherokee Nation, Veteran of the United States Air Force, and dedicated father of three.

Throughout his career as a construction project manager and utilizing his Master’s Degree in Commerce and Economic Development he has cultivated a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing development, change, and growth within the City of Asheville over the last 15 years.

Jared is a community activist, artist, and entrepreneur who leverages his eduction and lived experience in an attempt to amplify awareness of opportunities to enhance equity and increase Indigenous awareness in Asheville.
